IHelpBusinessesandPeopleGetUnstuck

I walk into broken, stalled, or stuck situations, in systems, products, or people, and I make them work.

Most consultants fix one thing. I operate across three domains simultaneously: technical systems, organisational processes, and the people caught in the middle. I find what is actually broken — not just the symptom — design the fix, and deliver it.

Three Ways I Create Value

I operate across three interconnected services. Most clients start with one and discover they need the others.

01

Business Consulting

Fix What Is Broken

I diagnose and resolve systemic problems in technology, process, and organisational structure. This is not surface-level advice. I go deep, find the root cause, design the solution, and stay until it works.

  • Technical architecture that has outgrown its design — costing money, losing reliability, blocking growth
  • Organisational process fragmentation — teams working in silos with no shared workflow
  • Data systems producing inconsistent or unreliable outputs
  • Stakeholder misalignment — technical and business teams talking past each other

A clear diagnosis, a concrete plan, and executed delivery — not a slide deck.

02

Solution Building

Build What Is Missing

I design and build custom tools, prototypes, and applications that solve real problems. This includes full-stack product development, AI-assisted tooling, and cloud infrastructure.

  • Proof of concept development to validate ideas before full investment
  • AI-powered tools that automate manual, repetitive processes
  • Cloud infrastructure design and optimisation (GCP, Firebase, Supabase)
  • Full-stack application development (React/Next.js, Node.js/NestJS)

Working software that solves the problem — not a requirements document.

03

Career Coaching

Unstick People

I coach technical leaders and professionals through career transitions, role changes, and the stuck points that hold capable people back. I am referred clients by other professional coaches because of my ability to see the real issue underneath the stated one.

  • Career transitions — moving from employment to independence, or from one role to another
  • Leadership development — becoming the leader your team needs
  • Getting unstuck — when you know something needs to change but cannot see the path

Clarity, a plan, and forward momentum.

Diagnosis First. Always.

Every engagement starts the same way: I figure out what is actually going on before proposing what to do about it.

1

Discovery

1–3 weeks

Audit the situation — systems, processes, team dynamics, stakeholder expectations. Identify the real problem, not the reported symptom.

Honest assessment with prioritised recommendations.

2

Design

1–2 weeks

Architect the solution. Define scope, approach, and success criteria. Balance ambition with pragmatism.

Actionable plan with clear milestones.

3

Deliver

Ongoing

Build, implement, and iterate. Maintain quality while demonstrating progress. Regular, honest communication — no surprises.

Working results.

4

Transfer

Embedded throughout

Build your team's capability alongside the solution. Document decisions. Transfer knowledge so your organisation can sustain and evolve what was built — without depending on me.

Independence. Not dependency.

What Makes This Different

I see across domains.

Most specialists see the world through one lens. I read technical architecture, organisational dysfunction, and human behaviour simultaneously. This means I find problems others miss and design solutions that actually stick.

I deliver, not advise.

I do not produce reports that sit in a drawer. I build the proof of concept, implement the process, coach the person. The engagement ends when the problem is solved, not when the hours run out.

I tell you what you need to hear.

Congruence is a core value. My words match my actions. If your real problem is not the one you described, I will tell you — respectfully, directly, and early enough to course-correct.

I have done this under pressure.

The moments that matter most in my career happened when stakes were high and timelines were short. I perform best when it counts most.

Evidence, Not Claims

Won a 3-year contract by fixing what others refused to touch.

A client's product had serious security vulnerabilities caused by architectural issues. Their existing development team would not address it. Within two weeks: problem analysed, solution designed, fix implemented. The result was a multi-year engagement to manage the product through its full lifecycle.

Won a major banking contract against the incumbent — in hours.

A major South African bank was dissatisfied with their current development partner's proposed approach. Given a few hours to prepare a counter-proposal. Won the contract. This engagement contributed directly to the company's acquisition by a major industry player.

Built an AI tool from scratch to solve a problem no one was addressing.

Clients were repeatedly frustrated by the same communication gaps between development teams and stakeholders. No one was fixing it. Designed and built an AI-powered release notes tool that automated the entire process. Not assigned. Not requested. Built because it needed to exist.

Recommendations

Coenraad has a singular ability to say the right thing at the right time, in a way that enables prompt action and ongoing contemplation. He balances kindness with directness; is encouraging and challenging; sees the big picture and the minutiae. I offer Coenraad my unqualified recommendation if you're in need of mentoring through a complex challenge, whether it is existential or technical.

Coenraad has proven to be a reliable and solid partner through the entire project timeline. His technical aptitude and willingness to participate in scoping and ideation on technical needs has lead to many innovations in the product that have helped cement it as a core on-chain template many other web3 projects have duplicated since its inception.

Technical Stack

Broad, current, and deliberately non-dogmatic. I recommend and implement what fits the solution best.
